New: A Criminal Psychology Section

Psychopaths, sociopaths, and the minds behind the cases

I’ve just rebuilt and launched a brand-new Criminal Psychology section here on Claim Your Innocence — and I wanted to tell you about it.

Psychopathy and sociopathy are some of the most searched and most misunderstood topics in psychology. Most of what’s out there is either too clinical to read or too sensational to trust. I wanted to offer something different: clear, accurate, jargon-free writing that helps you actually understand the criminal mind — and that retires the biggest myth of all, that “psychopath” means “killer.” It usually doesn’t.

The new section is built around a main guide and a set of focused articles you can read in any order:

If the psychology behind the cases interests you — what drives someone, how the mind is read in a courtroom, what the science actually says — this is for you. Start with the section overview here →

About me

I’m Anabel, the founder of Claim Your Innocence. I hold a degree in psychology and a Master of Law (MLaw) in Criminology and Security, and I bring more than twenty years of experience and encounters in the field — writing from practice, at the meeting point of the criminal mind and the justice system that judges it.
